Viewing Internet Graphics
With The Highest Quality
Using The AOL Web Browser

Unfortunately, the AOL Web Browser
automatically sets itself to compress internet graphics.
Although this provides for shorter download times of graphics,
it will often distort higher quality images on the web.

Windows95 Users:
(You can complete the following instructions online or offline.)
|
- From the top menu bar, select "MEMBERS"
- From the "MEMBERS" menu, choose "PREFERENCES"
- Select the "WWW" icon
- Select the "WEB GRAPHICS" tab
(*Some older versions of AOL do not have this tab. Just
continue with the next instructions.)
- Uncheck the "USE COMPRESSED GRAPHICS" box
(*Older versions of AOL have a 'radio' button to select
"UNCOMPRESSED GRAPHICS".)
- Click "APPLY" and then "OK"
(or just click "OK" if there is no "APPLY" button)
- Close the "PREFERENCES" window

(If you want to switch back to "COMPRESSED GRAPHICS",
repeat the above instructions. But, of course, select "UNCOMPRESSED GRAPHICS".)
