Netscape with AOL: Mac

How To Use The Netscape Internet
Browser With AOL

*You should have Netscape 3.0 or higher already
installed before proceeding with the following information.

*Clicking on the word "Netscape" above will take you to the Netscape download page.
(When you get to this link, find your operating system.
Then follow the instructions for downloading and installing.
You can obtain the latest Netscape using the AOL web browser.)

Mac Users:

Sign on to AOL as you normally would
(*Do not select Internet or WWW in AOL as this will run the AOL web browser.)
Once you are connected to AOL,
locate your Netscape application and double click the icon
(You are still signed on with AOL, but you can view the web with Netscape.)

Ending Your Internet Session:
(From within the Netscape application while still online via AOL:)

From the top menu bar, select "FILE"
From the "FILE" menu, choose "Quit" to quit Netscape
(You are still signed on with AOL at this point.)
In the top right corner of your screen,
'click and hold' on the icon.
From this pull-down menu, select "AMERICA ONLINE"
From the top menu bar, select "FILE"
From the "FILE" menu, choose "QUIT" to sign off and quit AOL
